- Author: Shakespeare, William
- Title: Hamlet
- LC Subject: Hamlet--Shakespeare William 1564 1616
- Keyword: Hamlet AND (women or female*)
- Journal title: Shakespeare Quarterly (to see if the UW Libraries has this journal)
- Videos/DVDs: Hamlet AND videorecording (NOTE: media will be located in Odegaard Media)

This catalog includes over 22 million books, sound recordings, films, maps and more from 32 colleges, universities, and community colleges throughout Oregon & Washington.
You can request many materials through Summit if it's not available at the UW. Request a book and it will arrive in 2-3 days. Pick it up at your favorite UW Library location.
Finding Scholarly Articles on Shakespeare or Shakespeare's Plays:
- MLA International Bibliography - UW restricted
MLA is the best database available for finding scholarly information on literature, language, linguistics, and folklore. Use MLA to access to scholarly research in over 3,000 journals, monographs, working papers,
proceedings, bibliographies, and other formats. Some film is covered in MLA, but also use FIAF (below) for film. Dates of coverage: from 1963 to the present.
- Expanded Academic ASAP - UW restricted
Contains abstracts and full-text articles for approximately 1,500 scholarly journals and popular magazines. Coverage includes 1980 to the present on all areas of study, including literature and history.
- ProQuest Research Library - UW restricted
Contains abstracts and full text articles for a large collection of scholarly journals and popular magazines. Like Expanded Academic Index, this database covers all areas of study, but also inlcudes newspapers. Coverage begins from 1986 to present.
Finding Film Reviews:

Contains articles & reviews from a variety of periodicals devoted to film & television. No full text available.
- Film Literature Index - UW restricted
Indexes 150 film and television periodicals from 30 countries cover-to-cover and 200 other periodicals selectively for articles on film and television.
- Film Review Index - Print Index in Suzzallo Reference: Z5784.M9 F513 1986
Citations to film reviews published in popular magazines and film industry trade newspapers during the years 1882-1985. Organized alphabetically by film title.
- Expanded Academic ASAP - UW restricted
Contains abstracts and full-text articles for approximately 1,500 scholarly and general interest periodicals, covering all major fields of study in the humanities, social sciences, and science and technology.
