*On the rare occasion when a student must use a Library Use Only item (this
includes CDs) for a class presentation, the Library Use Only Check-Out
Form must be filled out and presented complete with professor's
signature. The item may be checked out one hour before the presentation
and returned immediately after. All preliminary work with the materials
may be done in the library.
Reserves
Course reserve books, printed music, recordings and streamed audio can be found in the Online Catalog or Course Reserves Pages. Please request materials by call number. Printed
reserve items circulate for two hours. Media materials and accompanying printed music are available at
the Listening Center service window for library use only.
The staff at the circulation desk on the first floor charge out most library materials and, in addition,
retrieve items from closed stack areas, search for missing materials, place holds on items that are
checked out, and renew loans. Information on the Libraries' circulation policies and regulations is
available at this desk. Library materials from the ground floor (Rm. 15) are checked out at the desk in
the Listening Center. Room 15 is closed to the public evenings and weekends, but the materials remain available
for use and checkout by request at the Listening Center desk.
A selected collection of music education materials and curriculum items is on two hour reserve on the
ground floor level (enter through Room 15).
