Renewals
The UW Libraries offer unlimited renewals on all items that circulate for more then 14 days, unless a hold has been placed on the item by another patron. Renew your materials online at:http://catalog.lib.washington.edu/screens/Linkuwnetid.html
Holds
You may place holds on items that are currently checked out, if the item is due in more than 2 weeks, we will shorten the due date for the current patron so you can get the material sooner. The easiest way is to place a hold is to click the "Request/Place Hold" button on the screen when you've found an item on the catalog that is currently checked out. To place multiple holds, you might find it easier to first log in to your library record at:http://catalog.lib.washington.edu/screens/Linkuwnetid.html
Paging UW and Summit Books
You may page most circulating books from any UW library for pick up at another branch by following the method for placing holds above. You may also page books from any Summit library for pick up at any UW branch. Summit is a library catalog that combines information from Pacific Northwest academic libraries into a single unified database. When you do a search for an item on the UW Libraries catalog, you are given the option to "Search Summit" for copies also. If you search Summit and find an item you would like, click the "REQUEST THIS ITEM" link to have the book sent to you UW for you.
