October 2005 News
All ProQuest databases will be down Saturday, October 29, from 7pm to 11pm, for installation of new features and enhancements. These databases include ABI/Inform, National Newspapers, Washington State Newsstand, and all databases with ProQuest in their name.
New features include the ability to easily exclude newspapers and book reviews from search results; a "Refine Search" link back to the search box where the search strategy can be edited; addition of "Business (Case Studies)" as a searchable document type within ABI/INFORM; and the ability to limit by document ID, dissertations, volume/issue, column, dateline, page or section.
During this downtime, use LexisNexis Academic for full text article database searches.
Another database has been added to the List of All Business Databases on the Foster Business Library homepage: the Oxford Reference: Economics & Business; this database provides online searching and full text content for Oxford University Press's Dictionaries of Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance and Banking, Human Resource Management, and the Handbook of International Financial Terms. A link to it can also be found under Business Research Tools on the library homepage.
