About RefWorks
RefWorks is an online web-based database, providing the ability to create and manage personal databases of bibliographic citations by importing the citations from text files or online databases. Citations may be automatically formatted for bibliography and footnotes, and may be searched within the personal database. Because this personal database is web-based, rather than computer-based, it can be accessed wherever you have access to the internet.
RefWorks is free for current University of Washington students, faculty, and staff because of a campus-wide site license. To access this database, you must sign up for an individual account at http://www.refworks.com/Refworks/newuser.asp and then login in to your account at https://www.refworks.com/Refworks/login.asp? — but once you leave the university, you may need to pay to retain your access (if you still need access).
